Religious War in the Middle-East?

Markings on the Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight, which is standard issue to U.S. special operations forces, include “JN8:12,” a reference to John 8:12: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life,”‘ according to the King James version of the Bible.

This is one more element of a complicated plan.  There are still many of Us who do not understand the power of collective conscience but what You see, hear, think and feel composes Our reality.  Although it is only an inscription on a rifle sight, seemingly insignificant, the thought, the idea that this could be a religious war is now very real.  Perhaps not to You, perhaps not to Me, but certainly to Muslim’s living in the Middle-East.

Defending the inscription by saying it is similar to the statement ‘In God We Trust’ printed on American currency is hardly a defense but rather a reminder that America was founded by Christians.  ‘God’ is very personal and relevant to Our religious faith but that does not stop U.S. presidents from continuously making references to ‘God’ in their speeches to the People, whether they are talking about rebuilding a nation, fighting an enemy or improving the economy.

We need to ask Ourselves if this is the kind of world We want to know, if this is the only kind of world We can know – a world where We sit idly by as We allow Our governments to dictate how We will choose to live.  Do You really believe that people are evil by nature?  Or is it something else that pushes Us to evil?  Perhaps a desire for freedom?  Perhaps the desire to know a better world?  Begin thinking of the world You dream to know and don’t let anyone tell You You can’t have it.
