Celebrating Canada Day

That’s really the only excuse I have for not Writing anything over the past few days.  I was celebrating Canada day in My own Way – primarily by not attending the headline performances of U2 and the Bare Naked Ladies.  I spent most of My time trying to avoid the crowds which was far more difficult than one could imagine.  I was also keenly aware of all the security they had in place for the occasion and honestly, it makes Me feel a little ill when I see police armed with assault rifles while the newspapers brag about how peaceful We are and the ‘rights’ We all enjoy under Canada’s constitution.

I also don’t want to rant right now.  I have just given My Self plenty of material to Write about but as I said once before so many years ago, I don’t want to focus on all the things that are wrong with this country, I want to focus on why so many Canadians believe this country is great.

Ottawa is a beautiful city and Canada is a magnificent country.  We collectively seem to believe that human rights are important and that they are honoured and respected in Canada – so that is what I am going to focus on.

In sharing My philosophies with others, I have found most do believe these things are true.  Most Canadian’s would probably tell You that they pay taxes to take care of the less fortunate in their country, to pay for things like health care and social benefits.  The same Canadian’s would likely tell You that the only reason We don’t all have equal right to health and social benefits is the result of too much unemployment and a weak economy.  None of these things are actually true but this is how most people presume the country and economy work.

I am going to focus on the intention.  We may not yet be honouring human rights in any way, but We believe We are; and (I believe) We would all like to do better if We believed We could.  The microcosm reflects the macrocosm in every Way.

I know I can accomplish anything I set My Mind to; for now, I’m taking care of Me.  I am celebrating Canada day by accomplishing all the things any man who believes Canada is a great country would be able to achieve.  Time works in My favour now.  The longer politicians take to get back to Me, the less honourable they Will appear in the eyes of the public, the more time I have to organize.

For Me, everything seems very black and white while most of the world remains locked in some shade of grey.  The purity of God’s Law has been tainted with the black ink of man’s colour of law.  I don’t really want to indulge My Self until I can indulge everyone – but I may have no choice.

I have a few things on the go; I’ve got some creative, artistic Ideas and I also hope to become more involved with the Wrench and other local Writers.  Ideally, I would like to have an audience for more serious, politically motivated media.  I Will share some of My new Ideas as well as some new artwork in My next Post.
