The Good News Journal, Volume XLVIII: The Lucky Wednesday, ‘Witches, Wizards, and Warlocks’ Edition

Good evening, Lords and Ladies, how Art thou?  Welcome to the Lucky Wednesday ‘Witches, Wizards and Warlocks’ Edition!!!  I said I would be introducing a few new features to My Blog starting February first and tall King about Magic Will be My new fabulous feature for Wednesday’s.

Magic has been incorporated into much of My work for a while now, adding the Word ‘Lucky’ to My previous Wonderful Wednesday Edition is just one example – My unusual use of capital Letters is another.  Nothing I do is arbitrary, so it seemed only appropriate I should dedicate at least one day a week to explaining exactly how Magic works; it’s really not as complicated as one may be thing King.

My nieces and nephew are very young and many of the things I am doing in My microcosm would be very difficult for them to comprehend, so I told My Brother that if he wanted to, he could tell them their uncle is a Wizard or Warlock, Casting Powerful Spells to make the world a better place for when they grow up; and not one Word of it would be a lie.  I have an incredible Imagination, for I am A-Mage-in-A-Sean.  I Swear God Created English just so I could Play with it and find new Ways of Spelling My Magic and Casting it into the Universe.  Did You know that Shakespeare invented over 25,000 Words used in the English language today?  And People wonder why I am such a fearless Free-Lancer; My Lance is My Sword, and My Sword is My Word, Sean’s Word, the S-word. 😉

See how much Fun it can be to Play with Words?  This is why I Will always encourage People to Write down their Dreams; it makes them more permanent in the Universe.  A thought lasts for only a moment, a Spoken Word lasts only as long as it takes the vibration of the Air to reach an ear’s Drum, but a Word Scribed into Paper is like God’s Finger scratching the surface of the Earth, making One’s intention’s clear – and it Will last as long as the Words remain.  Just like Sound waves, Vision is a Vibration, too, and Written Words Sing their Song in Harmony with the Universe for as long as they remain (even if it is not in One’s Immediate Spectrum of Vision).  In My next Magical Monday Motivation Edition, I Will be teaching a technique to help My audience amplify the Volume of this frequency – and hopefully have some Fun doing it.  And, it Will also be an appropriate activity for any child old enough to manipulate a paint brush or pen/pencil!!!

Aleister Crowley defines Magick as “the Science and Art of causing change in accord with Will.”

The above quote is from “Magick”, by Aliester Crowley.  It can be very interesting to see how People react when One discovers I read Tarot (though I confess it has been over two years since I have done a reading for My Self), nevermind when One discovers the deck I use to be Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Deck!  For those who don’t know, Crowley has been Called ‘The Beast’, and is considered by some to be the most evil man to have ever lived.  Needless to say, I am thing King that is a bit of a stretch when One considers the Acts of men like Hitler, for example.  Others have suggested that simply by Playing with Cards, One can become influenced by evil, and that Magic and Tarot cards are things One should stay well away from.  Generally, I would suggest that many things We are taught not to do are in fact things One should do.  I am thing King of three examples that come to Mind right away; Sex, Politics and Religion – the three ‘Taboo’ topics.  I am thing King if We spent more time openly exploring these topics without getting Our egos in knots, We could all stand to learn a great deal from One another.  Just My humble opinion.

I have read a considerable amount of Crowley’s work and frankly consider Him to be the authority on Magic and perhaps the only man who actually managed to get the deck right.  The entire premise of the Tarot relies entirely on what I have professed here for so long – that there are no coincidences in the Universe.  One could shuffle a deck as many times as One Wishes, but they Will never turn over any cards the Universe did not intend for One to see.  Once One begins the study of Magick knowing this, the student is ready and the Master Will appear; the Tarot Will become an invaluable tool for Spiritual growth.

Despite My personal belief that Crowley’s Thoth Deck is the only one to ‘get it right’ as far as all the designations of the Cards with their elemental associations in the Universe are concerned, by the same philosophy, that does not mean they Will be the right deck for everyone.  If One is considering the Tarot to study Magick for Spiritual growth and personal development, One should use a deck that ‘speaks’ to them, or resonates with their intention.

These are the kind of Spells I’ve been Casting lately.  One can see quite clearly that Symbols and Seals appear in many Forms (pun intended).  The above document was filed into the Superior Divisional Court of Justice on February 28th and the city of Ottawa was served on the 29th. Notice how capital letters affect the human psyche?  It is almost as if the last paragraph in the Form pictured above is YELLING at it’s recipient!  Do not underestimate the Power of Words – or even a single Letter.
