The Embrace of Light
When I crossed to the other side, the light was so bright,
A warmth that wrapped me, so peaceful, so right.
It held me close, an embrace so pure,
In that moment, I felt no pain to endure.
So loving, so gentle, I wanted to stay,
In that place where shadows fade away.
But strength, they said, is not found in rest,
But in the resilience to face life’s test.
My time was not yet, though I longed to remain,
In the arms of light, free from all pain.
But they whispered softly, “You have a mission to fulfill,
A life assignment only you can will.”
So back I returned, to the world of motion,
Where life is music, a flowing ocean.
I came back stronger, with purpose renewed,
To face the challenges, to see them through.
I want to live, to move away,
From the things and places that led me astray.
For life is a journey, not always kind,
But in each step, my strength I find.
Though I wasn’t allowed to stay in the light, I know now my path is one of might.
For I’m here for a reason, a purpose divine,
And in that truth, my soul will shine.
