Hello again. I said I would be back shortly, and here I am. 🙂
Okay, so a few things I Wish to say. This coronavirus thing has got the whole world in a panic, and anyone who has read this Blog for any length of time Will know I am a strong advocate for Man’s rights, and right now We are watching Our most basic rights get stripped away as a result of this pandemic. Please, remain CALM! Seriously.
Fear Will weaken Your immune system faster than anything else, so do what You can to stay positive. If You are wondering how this might relate to a covenant on civil and political rights… Well, rights come with responsibility, and We have a responsibility to care for One another in these uncharted waters. We must Act toward One another in a Spirit of Brother and Sister hood, and if that means social distancing right now, please do it!
This virus is serious. If We can’t show that We can Act responsibly, more and more of Your rights Will be stripped. Remember, that’s why We have so many stupid commercial laws in the first place, because People don’t know how to behave without them. I know, it’s a harsh and sad fact, but it is a fact. The majority of People would not know how to govern their Self responsibly if there were no guidelines, codes or statutes to abide by, much as We may hate some of them.
I may be an advocate for rights, but I am also responsible. I don’t speed when I drive a car, for example. And I Will not be going to large social gatherings just to advocate My right to do so when it isn’t responsible. Placing another individual in harm’s Way is not a right! Let Me Give You a better example as it pertains to My personal ‘Home’.
I smoke. As an individual who chooses to rent (even if I had the wealth and option to ‘buy’ a home, I would not because I know My time on earth is rented, I cannot take it with Me, so why have something larger than I need?), I believe a renter has all the rights of a homeowner. Does that mean I have the ‘right’ to smoke in My apartment if I Wish to do so? The answer is no.
If I were renting a house out in the country, completely detached from My nearest neighbour, the answer would be yes. However, I am in a large house that has been converted into five apartments. My heat is paid for, and it is central air. This means that if I were to smoke, My smoke is going to go into all the air vents and contaminate the air of My neighbours, potentially endangering their health, damaging their living space and making their Life less enjoyable. It would be selfish and inconsiderate. That is not My right.
Does one have a ‘right’ to gather in large groups in the midst of this pandemic? Right now, I Will have to say no. We Wish to try to contain this thing and eliminate it. The more People are gathered in one place, the greater the chance one of those individuals Will have the virus without even knowing it. There is roughly a three to five day gestation period for the virus, meaning that one can be a carrier without showing symptoms for up to five days! If one isolates their Self from others, the chances of that individual contracting the virus are virtually zero. So please, let’s be sensible while this thing runs its course, and it Will be contained. My intuition tells Me it Will be a long wait, but please hang in there. Take a new course online, take up a new hobby, do all those things You Wish You had more time to do at home. Spend time with Your family if You are Blessed enough to have one to be surrounded by. Make the most of this opportunity and show those who are in charge of managing the People that We can be responsible without government having to enforce strict fines and/or criminal charges. This is one situation where I Will not defend a Man’s right to be an idiot, regardless their sex.
Okay, so now that I’ve got that rant out of the Way, I sincerely hope You are all making the most of this. I also do hope You Will check out the link to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights because it is something of a new discovery for Me. Strange I didn’t come across it before because I have Writ a version of My own Declaration of Man’s rights based on the U.N. Charter but did not ever see this, and it has been in place since 1976! I Will talk more about the importance and relevance of this document in upcoming posts.
I hope You are all well and making the most of Your time at home. Please take care of One another!
Love You, even if I don’t know You. ❤
