If You’re Haitian it matters not where Your heart is, home is Haiti.
– “If you think you will reach the U.S. and all the doors will be wide open to you, that’s not at all the case,” Joseph said, according to a transcript on America.gov, a State Department Web site. “And they will intercept you right on the water and send you back home where you came from.”
Yup. We understand that Haiti has been devastated by destruction but We don’t want the Haitian’s to think for one minute they are welcome anywhere else! This is exactly why unfortunate tragedies like this have to happen, to show Us how misguided We have allowed Ourselves to become. Why shouldn’t a Haitian be able to choose to experience life in another part of the world after experiencing such a tragedy? Why should Our lives be contained by the borders within which We were born? Why should We not be able to freely live where We choose without limitations or restrictions? Why would We not encourage the Haitians to come to the U.S. or another countries where relief efforts could be efficient and well organized, especially if they have the means to get themselves there?
Because We are not really free, We are property of the government. The Haitian crisis is calling out to Our collective conscience – are We listening?
